Rabbi Yaakov Asher Sinclair is a lecturer in Talmudic logic and philosophy at Ohr Somayach/Tanenbaum College in Jerusalem, and is a senior staff writer of the Torah internet publications Ohrnet and Torah Weekly, as well as Seasons of the Moon.

After university, he went into the entertainment industry and opened the first 24-track recording studio in Europe.  Recordings there included Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, and Elton John.  As a music publisher, he published an international hit musical in the 70’s, and as a record producer, he co-produced the quadruple-platinum album debut album by Foreigner that included several American Top Ten hits.
In 1987, he came to Israel to immerse himself in Torah.  After learning at Yeshivat Ohr Somayach and the Mir Yeshiva, he received his rabbinical ordination in 1996.

His essays and articles have been published in The Jewish Observer, American Jewish Spirit, AJOP Newsletter, Zurich’s Die Jüdische Zeitung, South African Jewish Report and many others. He is popular speaker both in Israel and in the US, notably at the plenary session of the Agudat Yisrael Convention.

Rabbi Sinclair has just published his first book, Seasons of The Moon, an exquisite combination of fine art black and white photography, inspiring prose and poems.  Seasons of the Moon is rapidly becoming a much sought-after collectors’ item. Please see here for reviews.

Rabbi Sinclair was born and raised in London and now lives with his family in Jerusalem.
