Israeli and Palestinian conflict

“It is a certain fact that not all Muslims are terrorists, but it is equally certain, and exceptionally painful, that almost all terrorists are Muslims. We cannot clear our names unless we own up to the shameful fact that terrorism has become an Islamic enterprise; an almost exclusive monopoly, implemented by Muslim men and women.”
- Abdel Rahman al-Rashed, Saudi journalist in London

“Jihad and the rifle alone. NO negotiations, NO conferences and NO dialogue.”
—Sheikh Abdullah Azzam, Join The Caravan

There is a world of difference between those who kill out of hatred, and
those who kill out of necessity. Rabbi Chaim Brisker explained that
these two types can be compared to a housewife and a cat. The
housewife and the cat both want to rid the house of mice. But there is
one crucial difference: the cat is happy to have a mouse to pursue and
kill, whereas the housewife would prefer not to have any problem in the
first place.

If a visitor from a faraway galaxy were to land at an American or Canadian university and peruse some of the petitions that were circulating around the campus, he would probably come away with the conclusion that the Earth is a peaceful and fair planet with only one villainous nation determined to destroy the peace and to violate human rights. That nation would not be Iraq, Libya, Serbia, Russia, or Iran ... It would be Israel.

- Alan Dershowitz, Professor of Law, Harvard Law School

“Allah is the only one that must be worshipped on Earth, and the only way to guarantee this is to control all the land masses, air and sea and give Islam the proper channel to be heard by the people.”
—Sheikh Abu Hamza Al-Masri, Allah’s Governance on Earth

“Benjamin Netanyahu, leader of the Israeli Likud party said, trying to disparage his enemies: ‘The celebrated goal of Islamic Fundamentalism is to secure the worldwide victory of Islam by defeating the non-Muslim and infidels through Jihaad…’. Thank you very much, Mr. Netanyahu, for a very accurate description.”
—Muhammad ‘Abdus Salam Faraj, Jihad: The Absent Obligation

Criticism of Israel has become very similar to anti-Semitism. There
exists in it a rejection of the Jewish people’s right to express its identity
in its state; and Israel isn’t judged according to the same criteria that
are applied to other countries. If anti-Semites once aspired to live in a
world rid of Jews, today anti-Semitism s goal is apparently a world
cleansed of the Jewish state.

- Per Ahlmark (former Swedish deputy prime minister)
Yair Sheleg, A World Cleansed of the Jewish State,
Ha’aretz, April 18, 2002.

You declare that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely anti-Zionist.
And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountaintops, let it echo
through the valleys of God s green earth: when people criticize Zionism,
they mean Jews.

Lecture by Martin Luther King, Harvard University, 1968,
quoted in Abraham H. Foxman, Never Again? The Threat of
the New Anti-Semitism (San Francisco: Harper, 2003).
